When making the decision to lose weight, be careful of products that claim to be able to offer you “miracles” and “guarantees.” There are no easy weight loss solutions, only hard work will show results.
Fad diets may seem like the best way to lose weight fast. Of course, if fad diets were actually effective, they would cease to become fads and become mainstream. Fad diets have been proven ineffective and unhealthy. And, in the long run, you will have learned nothing about eating right. When you choose healthy foods, you will find different things to eat. However, don’t quit too easily when you are tying to lose weight. You might have times when you made mistakes by overindulging or skipping exercise. Do not let this stop you. You can change your goals to make up for setbacks, and if you have to start again, you can.
You don’t have to be alone in your weight loss. If you lack a buddy or family member to diet or exercise with, there are lots of online support groups that can give you much needed encouragement. You could also look for a fitness partner to whom you could be mutually accountable.
I began my journey May 2012. I was morbidly obese, seriously out of shape weighing over 500 pounds, and my my doctor told me I had one year to change – or else. I decided to take action, and the results so far have been incredible.
